We started with an idea in our basement and developed the most versatile skateboard suspension available today. After riding for years on the same old technology we felt that it was time for something new. We wanted a suspension system that outperformed what is currently available and offered more features at the same time. Ground Industries proudly presents its patented T3 Technology. The New Paradigm T3 Technology began three years ago. As riders, we were anxious to push the limits of what had previously been thought possible and develop a new mindset in extreme carving. Our goal was to create a suspension system that could adapt to any rider's style, size, and terrain choice. After two years of intense research and development, the answer came to us in a crystal clear vision: T3 Technology was born. The Cube The heart of it all. Made from high quality polyurethane, molded to exacting tolerances around an aluminum alloy core and designed to take the abuse of a hard ride on or off road. During development we looked at what was already available and took it to the next level. We designed the T3's to accomplish a number of tasks. First, it had to be easily adjustable. Change your blocks (to a different durometer, stiffness) and you change the handling of your board. Softer blocks are meant for street carving and lighter riders. Stiffer blocks are designed for off-street, freestyle, kite boarding, and heavier riders. And it couldn't be easier - remove a bolt, change blocks, retighten the bolt and you're rollin' again. Down time = 3 minutes!! Second task, it had to be progressive. The further the rider leans from side to side the more resistance the block offers. This creates a stable platform and gives a solid feel in the turns. Furthermore, it brings the flex of the deck into play. In a turn the lateral forces build up and cause the deck to flex more, effectively increasing the mounting angle of the trucks and creating a tighter turn. Finally, it had to act as a shock absorber. Sure it's been tried before but it never worked like this. The combination of the concentric cavities and tendons work together to dampen the compression and elongation forces experienced when going big. So what's the big deal you ask? Well, in the simplest terms and most easily understood definitions it means that no other truck will give you a smother ride anywhere...period.
